Summary: | Background: Accreditation aims to improve the quality of health care, so it is
needed by the people of Indonesia are increasingly selective and deserve quality
services. With the development of science and technology as well as Indonesian
society increasingly critical in assessing the quality of health care, it is considered
that significant changes need to be done on the quality of hospitals in Indonesia.
Because the accreditation standards focus on service providers, starting in 2012
will be changed to focus on the patient. Such changes must be followed by
renewal of accreditation standards hospitals towards more quality and
international standards. In the accreditation process required of all elements of
the role of the hospital. One of the elements that the hospital had a role in the
accreditation process is the Medical Record Unit. DKT Dr. Soetarto Yogyakarta
Hospital so far still following the accreditation standards of the 2007 version of
the five services. But the hospital is necessary to prepare for the new
accreditation system KARS (2012 version).
Objective: To determine the readiness-related medical record documents in
accordance element accreditation standards assessment 2012 in Focused
Standards Group To Patients in DKT Dr. Soetarto Yogyakarta Hospital.
Research methods: The research was a descriptive study with a qualitative
approach, and a cross-sectional study design. Subjects examined in this design
is the medical records officers, emergency personnel, officer surgical and nurse.
Object of study is the Medical Record Unit readiness in the face of accreditation
points 2012.
Results: From the implementation of assessment elements associated with
medical records, most of the activities carried out yet equipped with standard
operating procedures and policies leading to inconsistencies tasks. In addition,
occupancy information in the medical record file is still not complete so that
clinical quality is reduced. Medical Record Unit has not process data which is
then used to develop referral and reporting on Unexpected Events (KTD).
