Summary: | Kulonprogo Regency is one of regencies in the Province of Yogyakarta
Special Region, which is the producer of rice in the province. Farmlands in
Kulonprogo Regency have been turned into settlements in line with the growth of
population. Land use change will result in reduction of rice production. The
purposes of this research are (1) to know the amount of rice production in
Kulonprogo Regency between 2011-2015, and (2) to know the variation of rice
production according to each district in Kulonprogo Regency (3) Distribution of
rice Kulonprogo Regency.
The method used to calculate the projection of rice production is geometric
growth formula , using secondary data such as broad-harvest data,
rice productivity, and rice production between 2000-2010. Domestic rice
production in Kulonprogo Regency between 2011-2015 will be knowable using
(1) the projection of broad-harvest as a factor of depreciation, (2) the average of
annual rice productivity, (3) the projection of grain production and rice
production as the result of calculation using the geometric growth formula.
The outcome of the projection shows that rice production in Kulonprogo Regency
has increased based on 2011-2015. From 68.014,84 ton at 2011 becomes
75.409,42 ton at 2015, the increasing number is 7.3945,58 ton. Rice production
for each district shows various conditions. Rice production of food according to
sub-district in 2015 diverse there sub-district increases and decreases production
berasnya, sub-district that rises is sub-district temon, wates, panjatan, galur
lendah, sentolo, girimulyo, nanggulan sub-district and four others decreasing rice
production. Potential the distribution of rice in thousand kulonprogo is the best of
D. I Yogyakarta. But in reality not occurring is exposed rice the government as
controller the distribution of rice.
