| description | Air cleaner is a component of the engine sistem which serves to filter the air of solid particles, such as dust, mold, dirt, and bacteria, before entering the combustion chamber. Large amount of dust clogging the air cleaner will inhibit combustion air supply to the sistem. This inhibition would lead to reduced engine power due to a mixture of fuel and air are not comparable. Dust into the engine which caused damage to the air cleaner filter element, will cause a loss of power due to the occurrence of severe wear on the cylinder liner and piston ring. Therefore, the air cleaner should be cleaned periodically or replaced with a new one, because the pores of the filter paper will be more and more clogged as the age of the air cleaner.
Cleaning the air cleaner is usually just done manually by spraying pressurized air using a compressor. Manual cleaning process like this is inefficient, because the cleaning process is still using human labor. This process also cause bad effects to the environment, because of the dust result from cleaning the air cleaner that pollute the air and damage the health of workers. Therefore, requires an air cleaner sweeper machine that can clean without polluting the air in the surrounding environment and can work automatically, making it more efficient. This air cleaner sweeper machine will require a skid as a holder for the device, so the device can stand stably.
Strong and sturdy skid is designed to support air cleaner sweeper machine by make the design, calculate the strength of the structure, and the strength of the welded joints skid. From the calculation, it is found that deflection occurs when the skid given load by 0.4 cm, the critical load on a pillar of 7465.98 T. Calculation of the allowable tensile stress at 8 connections butt joint with a length of 70.71 mm connection is 1.1 N/mm2 |
