description Natural drying process which needed to drying the cocoabeans have some drawback such us: long drying time, need some time reversal process and bad weather. Therefore, it is needed to design a cocoa bean drier with fuel gas to improve the drying and quality of cocoa beans. The dryer machine has 3 main parts: LPG gas combustion chamber, drying chamber which is completed with shelves dryer and sewer gas and steam beans. This tool making mechanism consists of the evaluation design, preparation tools and materials, workmanship tools at machine shop, and performance testing and maintenance. Then, the result show of performance test of the dryer show that, for drying 20 kg of cocoa beans need 21 hours drying time. Drying chamber temperature is 48 0 C. efficiency of the dyer is 55%. And the measure water of dry cocoa beans achieve to 9%.
