Summary: | Department of Education of Yogyakarta provides online educational
service called the Online Student Consultation (KBS online) in support of a vision
of the city of Yogyakarta as the education city. This public service is intended for
students of junior and senior high school in the city of Yogyakarta. The study,
entitled \"Provision and Use of Online Student Learning Advisory Service (KBS)
in the Children Learning System in Yogyakarta\" has the objective to identify the
provision and use of KBS online services and development needs in the city of
Yogyakarta.
The method used is descriptive qualitative analysis using primary data
obtained from semi-structured interviews with KBS online service providers and
users of the service by using the sampling technique, quota sampling. Information
obtained from users through a computer delivered survey technique as consulting
services system was online so that the students' data collection was taken online.
Results of the study explained that KBS online service is a service for the
community based information and communication technologies provided in order
to support a vision of the city of Yogyakarta as a student city and provincial
government programs which support the Jogja Cyber Province. KBS Online
service utilization by users based on the objective and perceived benefits stating
that the service is useful in helping the learning process everyday. Development
needs of the service providers are holding back kind of services through the radio
and consulting services technical improvement. While the development needs of
the service user namely the provision of services directly online discuss services
and other important references that support learning and accelerate the provision
of consultation responses. |
