description | This research aim to know survival rate and growth red tilapia (Oreochromis
sp.) Cangkringan strain and the parental at grow out phase. The research used
eksperimental method with two factors nested designs 4 x 2, replicated four times. The
research was conducted in UKBAT Cangkringan for 120 days using the fry size of 14 �
17 cm. Enclosed culture carried in hapa net (mech size 4 mm) with stocking densities 5
of fry/m2. Floating feed which contains 30 % protein, were given 3 � 5 % of
biomass/day at the rate of three times a day. Fish sampling was done every two weeks
as much as 20 % of biomass to measure length and weight of the fish as well as water
quality monitoring, and the biomass parameters were total weight, total fish at the
beginning and the end of experiment. Data of survival rate, absolute length and weight,
specific growth rate, food convention ratio, were analyzed with analisys of variance at
95 % level of significant, and water quality was analized descriptively.
This results showed that the combination of strain with sex in strain not
influence on the survival rate and growth red tilapia Cangkringan strain and the
parental. Survival rate of red tilapia at grow out phase ranged from 90.0 to 97.5 %.
Average value of absolute growth length and weight ranged from 9.85 to 12.38 cm and
273.77 to 312.24 grams. Specific growth rate of length and weight ranged from 0.22 to
0.26 %/day and 0.69 to 0.83 %/day. Survival rate and growth rate length and weight
Cangkringan strain same with the parental. Survival rate and growth combination male
Cangkringan strain same with the other combinations. |
