Summary:The research aims to perform spatial modeling with least cost path analysis to determine the railway route from Parangtritis to the Yogyakarta city by use of remote sensing. This study uses ASTER image level 1B that has been corrected geometric and radiometric. The Secondary data is Geological Map, Map of Land Semi Details, RBI Map, Land Ownership Map, and Earthquake Map. The method in this research is to determine weights of the parameters that influence the making of the railway route by Analytical Hierarcy Process (AHP). The Least Cost Path analysis based on raster spatial modelling for surface to the cheapest prices. The Analysis Hirearki Process and Least Cost Path Analysis method can generate railways route. The results of this study indicate that the image of ASTER level 1B has a 84,7% accuracy rate to extract the parameters of land use, and 92,34% for the parameters Geological conditions. Results of Hirearki Process Analysis parameters obtained from the weight of 21% is land use, geology 6%, dirt 9%, slope 12%, the earthquake of 7%, land ownership 18%, road networks 17% and hydrological information 10%. The process of Least Cost Path analysis obtained a railway route connecting from Parangtritis Tourism area to the city of Yogyakarta which length is 27,4 km.
