Summary: | Biomedical sensor are rarely used in medical environment especially in
Indonesia. In fact the used of biomedical sensor can easily made the medical
person to examine the patient in order to get the early condition from the patient.
The conditions are per minute heartbeat. There are taken by conventional device
so this research intend to design biomedical sensor prototype system which can be
used to measure to count heartbeat per minute
The finger placing method using phototransistor sensor and IRLED is used to
count the heartbeat by detection from the changing of bloodstream frequency in
the finger. The ATMega32 microcontroller used to control this system. The design
is divided by two, there are hardware design and software design. Hardware
design consist of minimum system design, power system design, filter circuit, and
finger placing circuit. Software design used C language program with CVAVR as
compiler
The test results on samples of the system will result in an average value to
determine the heart rate in normal or abnormal conditions. The condition of the
heart rate can vary according to the condition of the body, fitness, emotional
level, and activity.
