| Summary: | The objectives of this research were: 1) estimate genetic parameters of
each observation character and 2) determine the best families with the growth
and wood specific gravity. This research in addition to providing information
about the families that have good performance in terms of growth and wood
specific gravity, is also expected to provide information about the variation of
wood specific gravity of each family and how much genetic influence on wood
specific gravity.
The research was conducted in KPH Bojonegoro (Plot 35b, RPH Dander,
BKPH Dander) and KPH Ciamis (Plot 44b, RPH Gadung, BKPH Banjar Utara)
progeny test teak plant 15 years old by a collaboration between the Faculty of
Forestry Gadjah Mada University and Perhutani, using Randomized Complete
Block Design (RCBD) with 5 blocks (replication) 2 treeplot and 174 seedlot
(family) in Bojonegoro
