modern scientific knowledge. The local wisdom is a major source of inspiration
for the formation of the spirit and local knowledge (indigenous knowledge), so
that local people will have the ability to strengthen adaptation (adaptive capacity)
to a variety of changes, both internal and external. Thus local people can develop
social institutions that exist to obtain a better life socially, economically, and
politically.
Cultural values can be placed as one of the driving forces for the
advancement of the region, especially in developing capabilities, competencies,
and reputation of the region. Mastery of local cultural values can be used as an
instrument to create a personality and mental people who always want to keep
learning (learning nation). This learning process is important in order to create the
competitiveness of a region. Therefore the process of local economic development
can not be separated from the improvement of human resources (human capital).
The doctrine of Pasang ri Kajang in this study aims to find a message in
the form of local knowledge, such the value Kamase-mase were raised about the
simplicity and space utilization with the principle of "moderation" then a dialogue
with the theory of planning that considers aspects of local cultural considerations
in planning. The main issue is the basis for understanding the process of dialogue
between the doctrine of Pasang Ri Kajang with planning activities based on the
premise that there is effective communication in the planning process. Planners
felt that by techniques they have, they are able to solve a variety of problems due
to can see the complexity of the problem with more rational. While society as a
client thinks that experience is the best teacher, because it has been tested by
nature. |
