| Summary: | Movie is one of mass media which is able to convey an educational message to the audience. Children�s movie can bring up the representation of reality which is constructed intentionally to provide a narrative description of a story through movies, images, and ideologies of a culture. �Denias - Senandung di Atas Awan� and �Di Timur Matahari�, a movie that tries to depict the ethnic Papuan representation in perspective of multiculturalism. This research is purposed to look at how the ethnic Papuan representation in perspective of multiculturalisme through the structure of narrative, images, and communication processes that occur in the film. Theorist which are applied in this research are the Realist-view film by Siegfried Kraucauer, Stuart Hall Representation, Multiculturalism by Kymlica, Social Identity Theory and Communication Accommodation Theory. Researchers using qualitative content analysis, narrative text by Murphet and storyline children belong to Stanton. The result of this research shown that multiculturalism in Indonesian is still full gaps. Through the storyline and characters in two children's movie, Alenia try to give a new picture of the ethnic Papuans. At the beginning of the story and the characters characterizations, ethnic Papuans represented as being marginalized communities, minority, ethnocentric, and different ethnic groups in Indonesia. However, the presence of Alenia trying to offer a new figure of ethnic Papuans, the ethnic open, wants to be noticed, and acquired the rights as part of Indonesian society, namely education and peaceful life.
