Description
Summary:Liver cirrhosis is a disease which is the end of variation of the chronic liver disease. Role of VEGF and VEGF receptors in patients with cirrhosis of the liver hepatocytes is important in the development of liver fibrosis due to stimulation of fibroblasts. VEGF receptor 2 (VEGF-R2) is believed to be a reliable biomarker because it has a local regulatory effect on the tumor and not influenced by other factors in the body. The purpose of this study to determine the presence or absence of a relationship between sVEGF-R2 levels linkages Cirrhosis Liver disease severity with Child Pugh Turcotte score (CPT). Research with cross-sectional method with liver cirrhosis subjects at RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta in April 2011 November 2011. Research subjects as much as 37 liver cirrhosis patients who meet the criteria for the study subjects. Spearman correlation test values obtained correlation r = 0.38 with p = 0.02. showed a positive correlation between levels sVEGF-R2 with Child Pugh Turcotte score on Liver Cirrhosis.
