Summary: | Background : Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is one of the
metabolic syndrome�s. Diabetes Mellitus (DM) have many
complications, including Diabetic Nephropathy (DN) that
can caused an end-stage renal failure.
Objective : To study the prevalence and the description
of DM type 2 patients with a Diabetic Neuropathy at
RSUP Dr. Sardjito in 2008-2012.
Methods : This research is using descriptive method
by taking secunder data from medical record in RSUP Dr.
Sardjito.
Result : Within 5 years the amount of patients with
DM type 2 that require hospitalization at RSUP Dr.
Sardjito are 2358. From the total 36 medical records
data, there�s 26 data that record DM patients with
complication of DN. The other 10 medical records data
did not meet the inclusion criteria.
Conclusion: The prevalence of DM type 2 patients with
complication of DN at RSUP Dr. Sardjito from 2008 until
2012 is 1.65%, 0.32%, 1.02%, and 2.75%. The DN patients
are at age 45, mostly male, suffering >5 years, high
blood pressure, high blood glucose, and high
creatinine.
