renewable and non-renewable natural resources, environmental will be affected. Mining
conducted in state till mangrove forest area for infrastructure development to support its
operational activities. The mangrove forest is Selat Laut Natural Reserve .
The research was conducted in the mangrove forests along the Dua river, Tanah
Bumbu, South Kalimantan in order to determine the vegetation structure and habitat
conditions of mangrove forest at Selat Laut Natural Reserve. The sampling method using
checkered lines, for seedling 2x2m, sapling 5x5m and tree 20x20m, are placed
systematic sampling on blocks in each zone. Likewise habitat conditions, such as water
parameters, substrate and metal microstructures. Data analysis includes the species
distribution, Important Value (IV), species diversity index, species similarity index,
ANOVA and multiple regression.
The results showed grouping species distribution patterns as much as 54.90%
with chi-square more than 19.00 and a random distribution pattern as much as 45.10%
with chi-square between 2.7 to 19.00 (seedlings, saplings and trees). With 12 species
