description Background: Diabetic neuropathy is one of the commonest complication of diabetes mellitus. It has positive correlation between positive diabetic neuropathy profile to the decrease of quality of life, psychology either economic. In 2030, its prevalence expects to reach 2 times of prevalence in 2010. It’s even worse that most of diabetes mellitus is asymptomatic and it’s too late for patient when he know that he’s at complication phase. It could be prevented by healthy lifestyle and control index glycemic and lipid. Objective: This study examined the correlation coeficient between cholesterol and triglyceride index and neuropathy profile of diabetic patient based on NSS (Neuropathy Symptomatic Score) and NDS (Neuropathy Disability Score) examination. Method: 34 subjects of diabetes mellitus patients will do NSS examination (12 non neuropathy and 22 neuropathy) and 31 subjects of diabetes mellitus patients will do NDS examination (17 non neuropathy and 14 neuropathy) with age 20-60 year old, diabetes mellitus patients, sex man or woman, agree to inform consent, who were the patient of RSUP dr. Sardjito and RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogayakarta with p value <0,05 Result: Obtained correlation r = 0,007 between index cholesterol and neuropathy state (NSS), r = -0,124 between index cholesterol and neuropathy state (NDS), r = 0,321 between index triglyceride and neuropathy state (NSS), r = - 0,163 between index triglyceride and neuropathy state (NDS) and without significant value. Conclusion: there is not correlation between index cholesterol and triglyceride with neuropathy state.
