description | Reducing Emission for Deforestation and forest Degradation or REDD+
begin implemented in Kalimantan Tengah. In this thesis, I want to study about the
diacronic society related land control and outside programme penetration in the
last four decade. In assumption that programme penetration have change the local
livelihood. The wealth of natural resources has fueled some actors to conduct
territorialization or claim of the land, one of them is the local elite who has strong
politic, social and economic position.
REDD+ programme entered when the access still controlled by local
elites. Its interesting to see the inequality distribution of REDD+ programme in
the local level. In realization, the REDD+ initial implementation dominated by
local elites especially the participation of the programme it self. There are
indication that the history of exploitation for decade was strengthen the elite
position. They also have strong network so they can control the strategic sector
including distribution programme in the village. This fact proves that the entrance
program include REDD+ continuing the local elite domination.
This research location in Bahaur Hulu Village, one of the REDD+
demonstration village in Kalimantan Tengah. I tried to use hystorical approach to
explain the socio-economic changing process in society. It is important to look at
the backgrond of society itself. In my research, I use some data collecting method:
(1) participating observation by following REDD+ event, visit goverment
organization and NGO, and follow local activities, (2) depth in interview with the
key informant (3) participatory mapping through public assistance, and (4)
documentation. |
