description | Sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata Ness) has been to have efficacy in
lowering blood sugar levels in the presence of the active substance
andrographolide but the taste is very bitter. This study was aimed to determine the
effect of both avicel PH 101 and aerosil as on the preparation on of granules of
aquous extract of sambiloto.
For this purpose the factorial design method was used in concentration of
avicel 40% and 90% and aerosil 0% and 20% of the weight of the extract.
Responses observed were flow rate, angle of repose, tapping index, water
absorben, density and moisture content.
The results showed that a mixed composition of avicel PH 101 and aerosil
granules that fulfill the optimum physical requirements was 80.08% and 4.29%,
with the observed responses were flow rate, angle of repose, tapping index, water
absorben, density and moisture content respectively. Dissolution results in
optimum formulation obtained in Q45 by 14,92% + 1,21. |
