description As the population rises, the need for dwellings will also rise. Hence, the property industry will also continue to develop. This is in contrast with the availability of raw building materials escpecially wood which is continuously decreasing. In order to meet the needs of raw building materials especially floorboards, engineering technology is necessary to create alternative building materials from processed wood waste of teak shavings. There have been many researches conducted on the manufacturing of particle boards however, the current researches are on the manufacturing of particle boards that is strengthened by laminated wulung bamboo slats (gigantochloa atroviolacea). The aim of this research is to create a particle board that is strong and more aesthetic due to the exposed bamboo fibers on the upper and lower surface. The board is manufactured by heat compression at 170�C on the wood shavings and wulung bamboo strips at the same time with a total board thickness of 20mm. The manufacturing of particle boards are divided into 3 group variations according to the thickness of the bamboo slats. Group I has an even thickness variation of the upper and lower surface of bamboo slats (LA2LB2, LA4LB4, LA6LB6)
