Summary: | Malioboro is one of the tourism icon in Yogyakarta Province is very
dense traffic conditions, especially during the holidays. The rapid growth of
tourists who visit Malioboro coupled with an increase in the volume of vehicles in
the city of Yogyakarta make congeseted in this area. Handling these areas as
much as possible to increase the convenience of tourists who visit the area of
Malioboro . Oleha because keterbatsan land to increase the capacity of the road ,
came the idea to build a road over the River Code as current diversionary
Malioboro street at once to increase road capacity in the city of Yogyakarta .
The research was conducted by analyzing the existing conditions and
conditions after construction of flyovers above Code River. The capacity and
speed of calculation used is free MKJI 1997. This study uses TFTP aid program
1997. This study begins with the collection of data for the road network to be
created modeling . Once the data is collected, making the road network on the
basis of the existing condition . In addition to the road network , also takes origin
destination matrix ( MAT ) . In this study , the data matrix origin destination (OD
) data taken from a trip in the city of Yogyakarta in 2008 is projected to the year
2012. Furthermore, the imposition of the road network . Result of the imposition
of road networks then tested its validity. Once the validity of the value approach
required value, then make a closing scenario Malioboro .
The analysis shows that the existing condition Malioboro
experiencing problems, which has a degree of saturation (DS) of 1.26 to
Malioboro street while DS average of 0.52. After the construction of flyovers in
the code stream , to Malioboro street of 1.26 while the DS is still the average
dropped to 0.51 . The problems are then solved by closing Jalan Malioboro and
make Pedestrian Zone . This case there is no impact on the roads are congested
Malioboro .
