| Summary: | The given high cost for the treatment of chronic kidney disease(CKD) has
led to a necessity for a coordinated, multidiciplinary treatment approach to control
the increase of health treatment cost related to this disease. The aim of this
research is to observe the average total cost, components of therapy cost, and
factors towards the total cost therapy for the inpatient of chronic kidney disease
under the hemodialysis treatment at RSUP DR.Sardjito yogyakarta.
This is a descriptive, non experimental research according to the
perspective of hospital. The method of collecting data was carried out
retrospectively. The subject of this research was the inpatient of chronic kidney
disease under the treatment of hemodialysis at RSUP DR. Sardjito yogyakarta in
the period of January- December 2011 fulfilling the inclusion criteria. The
variable meanwhile covered the factors of patien (age and gender), factors of
disease (severity, commorbid, frequency of hemodialysis), treatment level, and
type of financing (public, askes, jamkes, and so on), and treatment cost (direct
medical cost, and direct non medical cost). Furthermore, data analysis used
involved descriptive analysis, Mann Whitney, t test, Kruskal Wallis, to determine
variable distribution and linear regression to determine the relationship between
dependent and independent variables.
The average totalcost for therapy of inpatient with chronic kidney disease
under the treatment of hemodialysis ranges from IDR. 2.325.306,00 � IDR.
31.735.710,00. The components of total cost for the theraphy of inpatient chronic
kidney disease with hemodialysis in the period of january- december 2011 are
direct medical cost IDR. 1.757.962,00 � IDR. 26.039.860,00 and direct non
medical cost IDR. 386.076,00 � IDR. 6.649.268,00. Factors affected to the total
cost therapy of inpatients with chronic kidney disease under the treatment of
hemodialysis are age, frequency of hemodialysis, treatment class, and type of
financing.
