| Summary: | The research entitled �Responsibility of Business Players towards Consumers of
Expired Instant Noodles in Traditional Market of Sleman District� is aimed at identifying the
responsibility of the business players towards consumers of expired instant noodles and the
form of legal protection towards consumers in traditional markets of Sleman District.
The research employed a juridical-normative approach and empirical approach, that is
studying legal principles, legal norms, and legal system by investigating law materials which
served as the secondary data. In order to support and complete the previous data, a field
research was conducted to obtain primary data directly from research subjects. The obtained
data were then analyzed qualitatively and presented descriptively.
The research result indicates that the responsibility of the business players towards the
consumers of expired instant noodles in traditional markets of Sleman District has increased
significantly. They have sold instant noodles more carefully so as to not carelessly selling
expired instant noodles. The National Agency of Drug and Food and other government
institutions also participate in giving legal protection for the consumers such as by giving
supervision and education for business players in Sleman District.
