Summary: | Workplace aggression is a condition that needed to be overcome, because this condition could
distract employee performance. The physical condition of work environment is a factor that
triggers aggressiveness. Participatory ergonomics is a technique for creating such a
comfortable and productive working system. Preliminary study shows that this technique exert
an influence on reducing aggressiveness at work. Aims of this research is to examine
participatory ergonomics impact in order to reduce workplace aggression level caused by heat
and noise. Research method used is randomized experiment with factorial design. Participants
of the experiment was 120 students divided into 4 experimental groups and 4 control groups
which given 4 condition of work environment. Random assignment is used for group selecting.
Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire used to asses aggression. Analysis of covarians is used
in this study and revealed that workplace. aggression significantly reduced by the treatment
given of the experiment (F=13,241, p<0,05) and the effect size was 31,12%.
