development. Indonesian local governments in dealing with problems that require
rapid and precise decisions, quality of data and information, as well as monitoring
systems and data management. Health Department, has been using PWS KIA as a
monitoring tool as well as data management KIA but only as a routine practice.
Objective: This study describes the use of PWS KIAroutine data for decisionmaking
in KIA monitoring in the SinjaiHealthDepartment
Methods: This study is a qualitative case study method. Respondents determined
using snowball sampling method. Data was collected by in-depth interviews and
observation using an interview guide and were analyzed by means of coding.
Results: Policy makers in the Department of Health and health facilities using
PWSKIA data and information for periodicallydecision-making, planning and
evaluation. Midwives health center and village midwife monitoring using data
from mother registers and mothercohorts of woman and the availability,
frequency and processing andPWSKIA data storage does not affect the
monitoring process. Health Department emphasizes the achievement of a
minimum coverage of services that encourage manipulation of data.
Conclusions: Policy makers utilize PWSKIA as a method of reporting and is used
as an evaluation and planning. |
