| Summary: | Background: Data and information of disease spread is one of the most important
bases for planning the activities in health sector, such that the activities can be on
target. However, the existing data management system is still far from satisfactory
cohdition, especially at the Health Department in Batang Hari Regency.
Retrieving data or information of morbidity quickly and accurately is still very
hard and complicated stages. The utilization of science and technology which
develops dynamically can assist the data management process, including
morbidity in the health sector. The development of data management systems
such as the development of a data bank, will facilitate users to process the data
and analyze relevant morbidity data, in more rapid and precise way.
Objective: Generate Morbidity Reports Data Bank at the Health Department for
management of LB1 report data or morbidity data in order to produce information
that can be utilized by the user at the Health Department in Batang Hari District in
decision making and Planning courses to the future.
Method: This study is a qualitative research approach to action research. The
draft action research is one of the qualitative research used in the development of
information systems due to the change-oriented.
Results: Morbidity Reports Data Bank Application which was developed with
PHP and MySQL can be utilized by the Data Bank users with an easier operation.
This application has the facility of uploading LB1 or morbidity data in the Health
Department. Morbidity Reports Data Bank that was developed can produce output
in the form of graphs that describe disease patterns, table, monthly reporting,
quarterly, semester and annual and maps.
Conclusion: Documentation of the data contained in the report format LB1 or
morbidity data into Morbidity Reports Data Bank, data contained in the Morbidity
Reports Data Bank can be used by each program or section to establish a future
program planning activities at the Health Department in Batang Hari Regency.
