Most of product of silver handycraft industry in Kotagede made from Basen village and most of the silvermith also come from Basen village. This is makes Basen village as a new tourist village area-based SMEs.
The method of this research is using qualitative deductive method. The purpose of the research is to describe, illustrate, and explore the facts on the ground in order to obtain accurate information about the current state of Basen village and know about the tourism development theories.
Conclusions obtained from the research that basen village has a unique and characteristic that distinguishes it from other villages. The majority of the male population work as a silversmith. Almost every house has a silver handycraft industry that marketed around Kotagede and outside Kotagede. The development of Basen village into new tourist village in Kotagede has a positive impact to the communities in the Basen village and surrounding communities. |
