Summary: | Internet banking is a new concept that results from the development of
information technology. The presence of internet banking service has offered a
number of flexibility and an ease transaction between a bank and customers.
However, the use of internet banking service in the bank might increase the
risk faced by the bank as well. Therefore this research has several purposes,
such as: to describe the form of risk management regulations in the
implementation of information technology, especially in the internet banking
service products, and to describe the application of risk management in the
implementation of internet banking system in PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero)
Tbk. Yogyakarta, Unit Magister Building, Universitas Gadjah Mada.
The research is conducted by using qualitative approach. It means that the
study is combined between library research and field research. After gathering
data and information the writer comes into the conclusion.
Based on the result of this research, the writer finds two conclusions. First,
the principles of risk management of internet banking in Bank Indonesia
Regulation No. 9/15/PBI/2007 are active oversight by the Board of
Commissioners and Board of Directors, security control system and risk
management with particular focus on legal risk and reputation risk. Second,
the application of risk management in the implementation of internet banking
in PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. Yogyakarta, Unit Magister Building,
Universitas Gadjah Mada is in proper with principles of risk management of
internet banking according to the Bank Indonesia Regulation.
