Summary: | A safe and comfort inpatient room is an important factor that can affect the recovery process of patient. Therefore, in designing an inpatient room, certain requirements are needed to create a health, safe, and comfort inpatient room. Building energy simulation software would provide information about building thermal condition and energy consumption profile, completed with breakdown per sector and zone. Building thermal condition is used to determine how the building works in providing thermal comfort to the occupants.
This research utilizes EnergyPlus version 8.0.0.008 building energy performance software to simulate inpatient room of RS Yadika Pondok Bambu energy consumption. Data required by the simulation are building geometry, weather data, and cooling load. Data that is obtained from construction blueprint would be a basis for building geometry modeling using Google SketchUp 8 with OpenStudio 1.0.10 plug-in. Weather data that utilized in this research is weather data for Jakarta . Cooling load data consist of data from each sector, i.e. occupant, lighting system, and electric equipment.
Simulation result shows that the value of energy consumption intensity of each inpatient room of RS Yadika Pondok Bambu is 462.41 kWh/m2/year for 3rd class
