Summary: | The purpose of this study was to calibrate the RGB existing program by
comparing the results of measuring the value of the color parameter Colormeter.
Color parameters were measured parameter RGB (Red, Green, Blue). Colormeter
used for reasons such instruments is considered as a measurement standard colors
as made by the manufacturer and is no calculation that exist within the existing
system in the instrument to see sample color values. This study uses Computer
Vision System (CVS) as a system to capture the image of the sample in the form
of tomatoes. Tomato samples used in this study has a different maturity level of
green tomatoes until the tomatoes are red. This study refers to the calibration
equation of each color component, considered good if the value of R2 obtained
more than 0.7
In this study, measurement of the RGB color tomato samples using CVS
and Colormeter, who then made a calibration equation between the two values of
the graph the relationship between the two instruments that could eventually be
made interfaces readings calibrated RGB color value with the resulting color
values with the results of Colormeter measurements.
Calibration equations in this study were obtained from the equation y =
0.8291 x + 20.407 for color components R, y = 0.9501 x + 3.8216 for G, and y =
1.0041 x - 1.6369 for B. From the measurement results before the color
calibration parameters obtained R
2
values for R = 0.7311, G = 0.9572, and B =
0.875, whereas the R
2
values obtained after calibration is R = 0.7357, G = 0.9561,
and B = 0.8363. From the results of measurements performed using the SPSS
statistical test with two-sided T test method with 95% confidence that the color
parameter R obtained acceptable Ho because of significant data, while for the
parameters G and B Ho is rejected because it has a significantly different data.
