Summary:Secondary metabolite produced by sponge�s microbial symbiont has been proved having pharmacological activities. Many previous research on use of maritime natural product as a new medication source is the base of the present research. Objective of the research was to identify whether the extent of microbe extract of sponge�s symbiont code 43C7 has potential activity as antibacterial against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, and to identify active compound group which responsible for antibacterial activity of symbiont microbe by characterization. Antibacterial activity test of sponge�s symbiont was done by determining Minimum Inhibitory Concentration using liquid microdilution and characterization of active compound group was done using TLC method and examined under UV254 and UV366, sprayed with spray reactor of anisaldehydesulphate acid
