| Summary: | This research basically talks about the perception of the residents of the
Bukit az-Zikra housing which is located in Sentul, Bogor. The existence of Bukit
az-Zikra housing with all the characteristics and the program within it, enrich the
existence of the housing concept. Among the various concepts of housing offered
by the developer, such as classical residential, modern residential, green
residential, residential Mediterranean, minimalist, tourist residential, and Islamic
residential, this research intends to determine the perception of the residents of
Bukit az-Zikra housing by considering the concept of Bukit az-Zikra itself. The
research was conducted through interviews and field observations to the residents
of Bukit az-Zikra housing.
Existing condition of Bukit az-Zikra housing is a mediterranean-style
cluster housing, equipped by shades of Islamic style characteristics, for example,
with the mosque, portal arch, eight star ornaments, etc. In addition, Bukit az-
Zikra housing has a variety of spiritual programs such as zikir akbar, pray
together, mabit, Qoran recitation etc. Blend of physical characteristics and
implementation of spiritual program make residents feel more comfortable in
living, social interaction, and interact with Him (God / worship) because it is in
accordance with the development of their perceptions in choosing a place to stay,
consider the environmental conditions that can foster the value of residential
positive-life for the family.
Those holistic comfort has become even more Islamic with K.H Arifin
Ilham supports, as community leader and the conceiver of Bukit az-Zikra housing
which indirectly drives the Islamic life in this housing
