Summary: | This study aims to examine the effect of fundamental factors on firm value of
Indonesia Stock Exchange. Specifically, this study test the effect of debt ratio,
earnings per share, dividend payout ratio, public shareholding, fixed asset turnover,
current ratio, net profit margin, and sales growth of the price to book value (PBV) on
Indonesia Stock Exchange. These factors can influence decision of investors in
investing on stock market.
This study uses multiple regression analysis with PBV as the dependent
variable and dan debt ratio (debtras), earnings per share (EPS), dividend payout ratio
(dpratio), public shareholding (public), fixed asset turnover (fato), current ratio
(curatio), net profit margin (profmar), and sales growth (salesgr) as independent
variables. These study samples were collected by purposive sampling method. The
period that used was 2007-2011 with 63 companies as the samples.
The results of this study show that there was significantly positive influence
between variable EPS on PBV. But, debtras, public, and profmar variables have a
positive insignificantly effect on PBV, while dpratio, fato, curatio, and salesgr
variables have a negative insignificantly effect on PBV. In addition, there is a
simultaneous effect between debtras, EPS, dpratio, public, fato, curatio, profmar, and
salesgr on PBV
