Summary: | Packaging is one of the most important factors that must be in a product of
coffee powder. One of the factors that affects the quality of products as well as
consumer interest in such a product is the packaging. The use of packaging
materials which are appropriate with the product characteristics as well as the
good packaging attributes will influence the level of product sales. Identifying the
effect of the package to the increase in selling coffee powder is intended to
determine the type of coffee powder product based on it is packaging that attracts
many consumers as well as to determine the role of packaging towards the
product sale value.
The data of coffe powder product based on the type of it�s package is
derived from consumer demand in each agency by noting systematically every
month. Processing data is accomplished with bar chart to know the type of
product having the highest demand and questionnaires to determine the most
dominant reason on the customer opinion.
Based on the identification done, the type of product that has the highest
level of sales is original coffee powder in packaging 100g. Compared with coffee
powder products in other types of package, coffee powder 100g is demanded by
more consumers as the number of requests over 33.159 packages during period of
a year. The most dominant factor that causes the high demand on the coffee
powder of 100g is package label design, package shape design, graphic package
design, function of package and the composition of the product.
