Summary: | The accuracy of LiDAR radiation can be influenced by object reflectivity and
the flight altitude. Objects that have a relatively open coverage will result more
accurate data because the signal laser beam is not obstructed by vegetation or
buildings. This study was conducted to determine the value of elevation accuracy of
LiDAR radiation results in a relatively open area with different flight altitude.
The selected areas of this study are paved roads and some dynamic land
located in Tajem, Yogyakarta. This study used two sets of LiDAR DTM as the
radiation results from 1000 meter flight altitude and and 500 meter flight altitude.
The elevation accuracy of LiDAR radiation result is determined by 169 tested points
which were measured using Total Station (TS). Linear interpolation is needed in the
process of determining LiDAR tested points since they are not precisely fit the LiDAR
point cloud.
The elevation accuracy of LiDAR radiation result from the 1000 meter flight
altitude reached 0.090 meter and the result from 500 meter flight altitude reached
0.069 meter. The radiation in the 500 meter flight altitude is more accurate in the
elevation level compare to the radiation in the 1000 meter flight altitude. In this
research, the influence of flight altitude resulted 2,1 cm margin differenceThe
difference value is not too significant because the value is less than LiDAR accuracy
tolerance namely 15 cm. |
