Summary: | The rate of land degradation in Indonesia is at a critical stage. Research
and development of technologies for conservation as well as preventing its effects
continue to be made. Some of the technologies are the collection, classification,
and dissemination of research results on soil conservation that has been done
before. A right medium to carry out this task is the application of enhanced web
technologies knowledge management system (KMS).
KMS Technology was applied by observing some aspects. Ranging from
the manufacture of the system, the function of the program, suitability with the
hierarchy of understanding, and main content in the form of soil conservation. The
purpose of this technology development is to determine the feasibility of using
KMS application to the study of soil conservation.
The result showed that the KMS has advantages over existing systems, that
is two-way communication. Aside from being able to support a means of sharing
the land for conservation studies, KMS is also able to support the control of
knowledge in a variety of other critical topics that may be useful for the
generations to come.
