The level of service the sidewalk is one of data used for planning a sidewalk
construction or arrangement of a city, so that the data obtained from the best
recommendations for performing an increased level of service, aimed at creating a security
and convenience to users of the sidewalk.
To determine the value of the level of service it then examined the magnitude of the
average flow that occurs on the sidewalk as the volume of pedestrians pedestrian pace and
also effective width of the sidewalk. This research uses human mapping methods
pelakupemakai and mapping of existing barriers on the pavement. The Survey was carried out
by means of direct measurements and calculations in the research by using the tool as a tool,
the meter stop watch stationery and others.
The results were found on the pavement on the road pavement width Urip Sumoharjo
amounted to 2.35 metres, however by the presence of STREET VENDORS on the sidewalk
making the effective width of the sidewalk to 1.62 meters. A pedestrian found speed is
relatively slow but it is not due to the magnitude of the volume of pedestrians but rather
because of the activities of pedestrians on the sidewalk. After performing the calculation on
each of the factors that affect the level of service then it can be inferred that the pavement still
gives a very good service on the sidewalk users. |
