span distance. Therefore, to overcome the considerable span distance, Bintaro
Xchange Project was decided to choose prestressed concrete beam. The decision was
taken because prestressed concrete beam has ability to support structure with long
spans so it is more secure than using conventional concrete.
The purpose of this report is to get to know and explain about the method and
the specification of prestressed concrete beam especially about post tension.
Moreover, to determine the value of elongation in PC-3 prestressed beam. And also
to get to know about specification comparison between PC-3 prestressed beam and
minimum specification of prestressed concrete beams.
In this report, the writer using several methods such as interview, observation,
descriptive and analysis.
Based on the discussion result it can be concluded, the elongation value of PC-
3 beam is 5,5%. Because the elongation value is between -7% and 7%, the PC-3
beam complies with the minimum requirements of prestressed concrete beams. And
also based on a comparison with the minimum specification of prestressed beams,
PC-3 beam meets the minimum specification of prestressed concrete so it is safe to
be applied in the field. |
