Summary: | The research was aimed to understand the opinion of committees, farmers, and
community toward Tomohon Flower Festival and the influencing factors on public
opinions. This research used descriptive method and survey technique. Sampling of
locations and institutions were conducted purposively, while sampling of public was
conducted by simple random sampling method. Respondents consisted of thirty
committees, thirty farmers, and thirty peoples. Analytical method of this research used
proportion of test and multiple linear regression tests.
This research showed that the committees have positive opinion at 83,3 percent,
with the strength of opinion at 71,4 percent, farmers have positive opinion at 83,3
percent, with the strength of opinion at 48,51 percent and communities have positive
opinion at 83,3 percent, with the strength of opinion at 50,83 percent. Age and level of
education have positive impacts toward the opinion of committees and farmers, while
income has negative impact on communities opinion. Experience and interest have no
significant impact toward public opinion.
