Summary: | Peretzman and Bhargav (2007) did a research about vocal removal. They both used three methods, they are bandstop filtering, stereo cancellation, and audio blind source separation. The result said that stereo cancelation method has quite good result. This research is testing stereo cancelation method to three types of music that are often heard by those people that pop, rock, and jazz. Testing aims to determine the effectiveness of stereo cancelation when meets a variative singing method. The analysis of effectiveness is done in two ways, namely by analysis of the spectrum of frequencies and use of surveys of the musicians at Jogjakarta. The result is stereo cancelation method works well in all three music genres with side effects such as loss of bass sounds on each track. Based on the survey, 62% of responden assess that the result of stereo cancelation on jazz is well. While 64% of responden assess that the pop and rock music have a good result too.
