description |   Edible bird�s nest is well known as a tradisional medicinal food in China. This
reseach to investigated the anti-inflamatory effect of aqueous of edible bird�s nest to
inhibition the expresion of mRNA siklooksigenase (COX-2) on mice (Mus musculus L).
Carragenan induced paw edema was use in this reseach. Injection of caragenan into the
food if a mice elicited in acute inflamatory response. Natrium diklofenak dose 10,28mg/ml
was use as a positive control and the mice were orally administrated with Aqueous extract
of edible bird�s nest 1 hour before carragenan injection. Different dose of aqueous extract
of ediblr bird�s nest were used respectively 0,135 mg/gram BB, P2 dosis 1,38 mg/gram
BB, dan P3 dengan dosis 14,1 mg/gram BB .Total RNA was isolated from peritoneal
macrophages after 4 hour of carragenan treatment. While COX-2 expression was
determined by RT-PCR using specific primer. Electroforesis is used to detection mRNA
COX-2 Expression and read with UV- transluminator. This result showed that aqueous
extract of edible bird�s nest doses 0,135-14,1mg/gram BB can inhibited COX-2 expression. |
