Summary: | The successful implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS)
ISO 9001:2008 in SMA Negeri 8 Yogyakarta can not be separated from the
knowledge transfer of QMS ISO 9001:2008 to all elements of the school.
Knowledge of QMS ISO 9001: 2008 which is disseminated to all elements of the
school will foster a conducive culture to the implementation of QMS ISO
9001:2008.
This study aims to describe knowledge transfer of QMS ISO 9001:2008 in
SMA Negeri 8 Yogyakarta. This is a descriptive qualitative research. Data
collection is using interviews method . The respondents are the headmaster (top
management), Quality Management Representative (QMR), steering committee,
and several teachers, staff, and students.
Based on interviews, observation and analysis, SMA Negeri 8 Yogyakarta
had attempted to optimize knowledge transfer of QMS ISO 9001:2008 to all
elements of the school, by making use of both types of tacit and explicit
knowledge that it has, through a variety of media that exist, either meeting the
media, media technology, and media training. Stages of QMS ISO 9001:2008
knowledge transfer in SMA Negeri 8 Yogyakarta until now only reached the stage
of ramp-up, in which the citizens of the school has implemented his knowledge of
QMS ISO 9001:2008 but not effective yet, because the QMS ISO 9001:2008 were
recently introduced in SMA Negeri 8 Yogyakarta. The inhibiting factor of
knowledge transfer of QMS ISO 9001:2008 in SMA Negeri 8 Yogyakarta is come
from the characteristics of knowledge and the characteristics of the recipients.
QMS ISO 9001:2008 are so rigid, difficult and doesn�t have evidence of the
successful implementation of QMS ISO 9001:2008 in school. This is cause the
recipients of knowledge have lack of motivation to use his knowledge of QMS
ISO 9001:2008 in school activities.
