description | This research will examine the company�s performance measurement using
a balanced scorecard approach at RSM AAJ Associates, a consulting firm,
specifically in Division of Tax, Accounting and Administration Services with the
purpose of research is to analyze the performance of the Division based on the
balanced scorecard perspectives and formulate an improvement for the Division
with balanced scorecard perspective as a guidance. The study is done by
observation, indepth interviews, and data review.
Balanced scorecard emphasized that financial and non-financial measures
should be part of the performance measurement system. Scorecard�s objectives
and measures derived from the mission, vision, and strategy of the company and
then assess the performance from four perspectives: financial, customer, internal
business process, and learning and growth. Performance analysis is done by
arranging the strategy map as a tool for mapping mission, values and vision of the
company into an objective, measurement, target, and ideas in order to achieve the
desired outcomes. The research is using performance measures that owned by the
company but has not been utilized effectively.
The results shows that the company needs to make improvements to the
performance of financial perspective, internal business process perspective, and
learning and growth perspective. The performance improvement should be
focused on the improvement of the quality of human resources and monitoring the
quality of work. |
