Summary: | With only about 17% of the total population of Indonesia which are life insurance policy
holder, while indicators of the economic development of Indonesia in previous years and the
awareness of the people of Indonesia for insurance is growth significantly, looked that the
growth prospects and market potential for the development of the life insurance industry is
still open widespread in Indonesia. That�s why we need to develop the right strategy for BNI
Life Insurance business to compete in the industry and the influenced factors that will be
analyzed descriptively in this study. Analyzes were performed using various approaches with
the result that the internal and external aspects greatly influence the policies of BNI life in
pursuing a strategy of competing in the Life Insurance Industry. Internally, in addition to the
capital injection from shareholders, ownership of 99% shares of Bank BNI is the captive
market that should be utilized as much as possible outside of external factors such as positive
economic developments and opportunities as well as potential development of the life
insurance industry in Indonesia. But the important thing to note internally is improving core
system and product specifications for the company to run the business more efficiently as
well as the threats that come from the outside as the emergence of competitor firms. |
