Summary: | The purpose of this study was to analyze differences in mean perceptions of
teachers based on years of service, level of education, and certification of
educators on managerial competence, supervising competence of principal and
teacher performance. The population is teachers in SMK Muhammadiyah
Gunungkidul Yogyakarta. Samples taken are all teachers at SMK Muhammadiyah
Wonosari Gunungkidul. Sample collection technique is nonprobability by
convenience sampling method. The data used are primary data using
questionnaires. Analysis tools used are descriptive statistics and mean difference
test.
The analysis showed that there were significant differences in the average
teacher's perception of managerial competence of principal in each dimension.
The highest average is conceptual skills while the lowest is technical skills. Based
on the working lives of teachers, the average difference is significant between
teachers service years of 0-5 years and the teachers who work for 6-10 years. 0-5
years working years of managerial competencies of principal is perceived higher
than 6-10 working years. While based on level of education and certification of
educators have insignificant differences.
There are differences in the average that are not significant to the teachers'
perception of supervising competence of principal in every dimension. Based on
years of service and level of education, mean differences were not significant.
While there are significant differences in educator certification based on average.
Certified teachers who supervise are perceived to have higher competence than
those who are not certified.
There is a mean difference significant at every dimension of teacher performance.
The highest average is the dimension of planning and preparation, and the lowest
is the dimension of classroom management. While based on years of service, level
of education and certification of educators have insignificant differences to the
teachers' perceptions of teacher performance.
