Summary:The movement of the dynamic banking industry, followed by the movement of a set of funds and loans has increased every years. Therefore, it needs a reliable measurement of bank performance. One of the bank's performance measurement can be seen from the amount and growth of loans extended by the banking institution concerned. PT BNI 1946 is also an active banking institutions undertake banking activities both in lending to customers and accept deposits from the depositors of the bank concerned. The purpose of this study is to define the effect of non-performing loans, the growth of third-party funds, asset growth, and growth capital for lending to banks BNI period 2002 - 2012 as well as for analyzing appropriate and effective strategies to increase lending in BNI at the future. The method used in this research is explanatory research with hypothesis testing with quantitative approach. The data in this study using secondary data is data that has been provided. Where secondary data for this study were obtained from the financial statements of Bank BNI period 2002 to 2012 on a quarterly basis. The data were obtained from The next results were analyzed by multiple linear regression with the help of Eviews statistical program version 7. The results showed that the growth of third-party funds variables proved to have a significant effect on lending. Meanwhile, the NPL variable, asset growth and capital growth have shown no significant effect on the Bank BNI lending periode 2002-2012.
