| Summary: | The aim of this research was to determine effectiveness of natural breeding and artificial insemination (AI) in Ettawa Grade Goat using CIDR (controlled internal drug release) estrus synchronization at PIA (Pusat Inkubator Agribisnis) Sakinah Turen, Sardonoharjo Village, District Ngaglik, Yogyakarta. Eight goats whose installed CIDR for 12 days, divided into two groups. Naturally mated in group I, whereas group II is AI. Observed variable is the time of onset estrus, duration of estrus and pregnancy rate. The results showed that the percentage of estrus was 100%, percentage of breeding fertility of artificial insemination was 100% and 75% for natural breeding, percentage mother who birth following artificial insemination was 25% and natural breeding reaches 0%.
