| description | This study aimed to describe the workings of West Papua Bappeda (Regional
Planning Bureau) in coordination of regional development planning and to explain
of the factors that affected the working of West Papua Bappeda.
This research is a descriptive qualitative study, which is a research conducted with
describing the data obtained in depth to answer of the research objectives. The
data used in this study were obtained through observation, interviews and
documents review. The subject of this research is the chairman and the entire head
of each division of West Papua Bappeda.
Result of this study demonstrated in the workings of West Papua Bappeda has
been in accordance with the duties and functions. However, in the coordination of
the development planning, West Papua Bappeda did not involve local people, so
there were many local peoples who feel their interests were not accommodated.
The factors that dominantly affected the workings of West Papua Bappeda, among
others, were the less of public confidence to the government, incomplete
regulation, limited human resources, and existence of ambiguous patterns of
employment agencies that were considered representative aspirations. |
