The purposes of this study are to evaluate the existing roundabout, redesign the roundabout geometry in order to meet the safety aspects and able to serve the traffic flow on closed Kaliuarang-street condition and provide suggestion when the roundabout need to be redesigned again. The site which has chosen in this study is PAU UGM roundabout. This research needs data that obtained from roundabout geometric, traffic volume and space mean speed. The Redesign is done with attention to safety aspects and the availability of land, using the DMRB (2007) and DPPW (2004) methods. Traffic modeling anlysis using Aimsun 6.1. The roundabout performance analysis using ARCADY 5. The existing roundabout of PAU indicates that the degree of saturation are 1,205 in west arm, 0,292 in south arm and 0,262 in east arm and also some of geometric parameters are not qualify, so the roundabout have to be redesigned. The redesign is done by enlarging the inscribed circle diameter from 41,3 m to 80 m and make the other parameters meet the requirement. The redesign roundabout will saturate in the year of 2023, which is 1,06 in west arm. The other degree of saturation in other arms are 0,566 in south arm and 0,701 in east arm, so it is proposed to make improvements redesign phase 2.
