created a disaster management cycle which contains programs such design and
implementation of technical engineering which emphasizes on restraint work and
control work. As one of mitigation potential landslide, slope reinforcement efforts
analysis through design some cliff retaining walls, include: (1) mass concrete
gravity walls, cantilever walls, counterfort walls, and gabions, and (2) in- situ
wall type cantilever sheet-pile and anchored sheet-pile.
The design criteria analyzed using numerical method by considering the soil
parameter type (granular backfill and cohesive backfill), wall heights and ground
water level behind the retaining wall. As a guide in the design criteria, the
analysis performed on each wall to the foundation width, B (m), the depth of the
foundation, Df
(m), and the control of water level (m) due to backfill height, h (m)
and the height of the wall, H (m).
The results of the research is that the retaining wall with granular backfill, can
withstand a cliff optimally in accordance with the planned height. While the walls
of the exploit cohesive soil embankment with granular soil and homogeneous
cohesive backfill tend to be more complex analysis, obtained a relatively large
range of designs with the ability of wall to withstand soil height is lower than the
planned altitude. |
