But the driver ignore it when the body send one of those signals oftenly. The impacts which can occur to driver, such as make incorrect decision while driving, make all of sudden activity or even microsleep. All of those impacts that could happen to driver are the most car accident reason. Therefore, the system which can provide alarm when driver feels drowsiness, fatigue or even microsleep is required. The way to detect microsleep when it occurs, is use the Electroencephalograph (EEG) brainwave. Using one channel EEG Sensor by Neurosky Mindwave which can provide eight brainwave signal such as Delta, Tetha, Low Alpha, High Alpha, Low Beta, High Beta, Low Gamma, and Mid Gamma. On the other hand, Attention and Relaxation value can be generated as well. Based on observation on the data EEG samples, the system uses Delta, Theta, Alpha, attention and relaxation value wave signal as a microsleep parameter.This prototype system which has been made and tasted to car drivers, achived its purpose to detect microsleep event and alert the driver by alarm. |
