description This final project discusses about the modelling, analysing of public transportation networks which evolve according to a timetable and control of discrete event systems using switching max-plus-linear systems. In switching max-plus-linear systems we can switch between different modes of operation. In any mode the discrete event system is described by a max-plus-linear state equation with different system matrices for any mode. The switching allows us to change the structure of the system, to break synchronization and to change the order of events. Some example will be added to make it easier to understand the main idea.
